Prominent Sheikh of the Shammari tribe of Al-Aslam
One of the prominent leaders of the Shammari tribe of Al-Aslam, known for his intelligence,
precision, foresight, eloquence, and generosity.
He was close to King Faisal Bin Abdulaziz, dedicating his life to serving his nation, with many
heroic stances and unwavering support for his tribe's sons.
His nickname was "Abu Al-Atayya" due to his extreme generosity. He was known for assisting the
needy, good neighborliness, and his intercession with authorities who honored his efforts.
King Fahd (may he rest in peace) used to call him "Our Elder" out of respect and esteem. This is a
tradition of our rulers—character, generosity, and humility.
He was a man of prestige, wisdom, and patience, devout and well-versed in literature and genealogy
related to the Arabian Peninsula's history.
He earned great respect and esteem from tribal leaders, known for his efforts in meeting people's
needs and resolving disputes.
He was known for his mercy and humble demeanor towards both the young and old.
He passed away in 1992, and despite 32 years since his death, he is still mourned in hundreds of
elegiac poems by many poets.
The Bin Hassan family emerged in Najd in the sixteenth century, as mentioned in the book "Al-Zawra Garden in the Biography of Ministers." AL Sheikh Ibrahim Bin Hassan led his tribe and represented them in Najd throughout his life.
The Bin Hassan family was known for their fierce battles against the Ottoman Empire, leading tribal alliances such as Bani Sakhr, Al-Sarhan tribe, and Al-Khazal tribe against it. This was mentioned by historian Muhammad Amin Al-Sweidi in his book "Golden Alloys in the Knowledge of Arab Genealogies," and it is the oldest historical mention of them in the book "Seven Ministers," which discussed AL Sheikh Bin Hassan's leadership and their achievements in Najd.

father AL Sheikh Ibrahim due to his extreme generosity and his numerous contributions to
society.
